Marble Clay

This is our new clay pattern. How do you like it?? So far it has been a great success. These are our butter dishes. The one on the left is our regular butter dish. The one on the right is a french butter dish or a butter bell. It is the one you put water in.

Tea pots

Just a quick note to catch everyone up. We are home again and getting busy with the holiday rush. If you are needing anything please call and order before the 15th of November to get it by Christmas. we have develop a few new Items and I will have photos on the Blog asap. So keep checking in. Huntsman's Senior games

As you know we just did a show in the Hurricane Valley. We had a good time and the weather was wonderful. Our next show is up in Heber City the last week of October and the first week of November. Please come and see us. This photo is of Bud just after he has painted and fired the Indian pot. This is one of his most fun projects. I am just hanging out keeping my hands busy. This is our latest herd of Sugar Pigs new for the coming year. They are so much fun for kids and adults alike. Heres hoping everyone is loving the cooler weather. Hope to hear or see you soon.

To you who new we were going on vacation out to Bud's old stomping grounds, were back. We had a grand time and got a bit of much needed rest. To catch you up we are doing a show in Hurricane at purgatory it is part of the Huntsman's senior games. We are with the single action shooters at the gun range. We are going to go to the American poet show in Heber the end of October and first of November. We hope to see you at one or the other.

This is Toryen (whom we call Sqush) He love's the pottery and being with Grandma & Grandpa Mecham. He is the one in a lower pic that like's to hit the pots with honey sticks. He is now 4 yrs old. See at Mecham Pottery we put everything in our bowls.

This is our grandson Toryen Wayne Haynes. He was busy to a musical number for all the people in our booth. He was having such fun with two honey sticks banging on our pottery. I was having fun as well watching all the peoples faces as he produces his melodic tones. Well done Toryen a great show of how well our pottery stands up to all situations. To whom it may concern we will be at the Tooele rendezvous at the weekend of the 27Th of September.

CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW ?????????

What a crazy two weeks. As you all know we were up at Fort Bridger doing our largest show of the year. We did well and we were able to visit with old friends and see some of the kids. Here is a few photos of Bud trying to get a signal for the card machine. Any of you that have seen the movie RV will get a kick out of this. On or way home we blew up our transmission in the truck. That made for a long week while we waited for the new one to be installed. I have promised the recipe to Mike Munn's Salsa to a few of you so here it is.

PEOPLE***PEOPLE***PEOPLE

Can you believe it!

After years of trying to talk Mike Munn's out of his SALSA

receipt I finally got it!

So here goes.

Cowboy Mike's Salsa

4 to 5 Green Onions

1- large Bell Pepper

2 to 3 Jalapeños

Add Cilantro to taste

1- Tometello

6- Stocks of Celery

6- Garlic Buds

2 – 4 Medium Tomatoes

1- Large Onion

2- Table Spoons Lemon Juice

3- Table Spoons Apple Cider Vinegar

1 TB Salt

½- Tea Spoon Sugar

1- 29oz Can of Tomatoes Sauce

1- 14 oz Canned Fancy Tomatoes

Chop all vegetables together then add in the

Lemon juice, Vinegar, Salt and Sugar

Last of all add the canned Items. Mix well and Enjoy.

Great on Chips, eggs, and meat.

This was the morning they put up the balloons. It was so wonderful sitting there watching them and looking at the awesome surroundings. Wish all could have see it. We had great weather. all in all it was a great trip.

BALLOON FEST

I just wanted everyone to know how fun we had at the Balloon Fest. It will be on our list of shows next year for sure. It was up in Liberty Utah at the base of Wolf Mountain. The balloons were beautiful, the people were great, and we made new friends. As soon as I get the pic's I will post a few.

This is our show place. We set up a giant tent and sell our wares. It is just like in the olden days. Bud has been a potter for 34 years. He dose all the throwing and I do the glazing. We make a great team.

Patterns and colors

These are some of the patterns we offer. Starting from top Left to Right. Mountain Horizon, Emerald Green Chisel tooth, Cobalt Banded, Bottom Row Left to Right. Light Green Emerald Chisel tooth, Emerald Banded, Cobalt Chisel tooth. You can also get the clay with just a clear Plain Glaze on it like in the pottery on the Blog. We offer Solid Colors of the Emerald, and also the Cobalt. The solid color of the 5 piece bowl set is called Buckskin. I have samples of these coming out of the kiln and will post ASAP.

How to use a Chicken Roaster

DO NOT PREHEAT OVEN
Begin by putting 1/2 inch of water in the outside bowl. Put water and other seasonings that you wish into the center cup. Take the neck skin and pull if over the hole to the main cavity. Tuck the skin over the top to hold in the moisture and flavor.

2nd Do NOT preheat your oven. Stick your Chicken in the oven on 350' for 2 1/2 hours (More or less time as your oven requires). Start checking on your chicken at about 2 hours the first couple times you make it.

3rd Take it out and enjoy. Remember that stoneware stays hot. Be careful when you pick up your roaster even if it has been out of your oven for time, it holds heat very well.

These can be used for Hot or cold. You can put anything in them from Kool-aid to Gravy and Water to Ice tea.

These are some of are kitchen item's They are shown plain and can have any design or color on them. From Moose, Bears and patterns from the 1800s.

Outside Lighting

These are some of the lights that can be put on the outside of your home and they can be any color that you want them. They are hard fired at 2300' degrees and then painted to match your home or business.

How It's Made

The 1st step to the pottery is Throwing. Bud makes EVERYTHING by hand and then paints it on the wheel. Everything is a one of a kind. Some pieces may look the same, but no 2 pieces are the same.

The 2nd step is Drying. We set it outside in the sun on good days and it takes about 2 days to dry with the glazing process. (Glaze is the glass that is put over the top of the paint)

The 3rd step is Fireing. The pottery is fired at 2300 degrees. After it is fired, it is ready to use. It can be put in your microwave, dishwasher, and oven. The paint will never fade or discolor. What you buy is what you get.
